Element student ministry is a group of people who, if they do what they learn in the midst of the ministry, will become hardcore Christ knowers. We as a ministry do everything in Christ’s power to win souls for the kingdom of God; but not only to win the souls to be saved through the flames or by the skin of their teeth, but souls that live it, know it, and know Him.

We cultivate a group of Students who can forge a path through this world that people can see and know that Jesus walked with them. This will be a group of people who, when walking into a room, any darkness present must flee for the simple fact that Jesus is so saturated in their being. We take very seriously the magnitude of the responsibility we have in investing in the souls that are brought to us (not to say we don’t have any cup-cake wars or jalapeño eating contests), but while we have an incredibly dynamic and creative night, we teach the way to knowing God through Christ.

And if the students there choose to take with them the things they are taught while they are here, then they will not be able to help but experience the most rich, fulfilling, light-filled, life-filled lives that make it very hard to not smile every time you think about the glory of God in the face of Christ. This is the kind of life I as a leader strive to live, and who I hope you as a reader desire to experience, and who we together will explore; because the only reason we are alive is to find the way of knowing and being known by the only one who makes this life worth living, Jesus.

Momentum (our incredibly dynamic midweek gathering) happens every Wednesday night at 7:00
in the student room on the Mercy’s Cross Sherwood campus, and on Tuesday nights at 7:00 on the Conway Campus.

Rooted (6-8th grade smallgroups) and Plugged (an opportunity to be highly involved in ministries throughout the church to make a lasting impact in lives, including your own) are offered during all weekend services in Sherwood.
